Due to strong winds and high waves, the Coast Guard was forced to halt search operations on Monday evening. Carnival Cruise Line has confirmed that the man who went missing from the Carnival Glory in the Gulf of Mexico intentionally jumped off the vessel in the middle of the night. The Carnival Magic ship departed from Norfolk, Virginia, on Thursday and returned to Norfolk on Tuesday, WTKR reported. "The Coast Guard is utilizing both air and water assets to conduct the search," the military branch said. Grimes was eventually spotted by a cargo ship, and dramatic video showed him being plucked from the ocean by the Coast Guard about 20 miles south of Louisiana’s Southwest Pass.
